Roof Damage from Hail or WindYou may have been in your home or business during a hail storm at some point. It sounds like someone is dropping rocks on your roof. Essentially, that is pretty close to what is happening. Some hail can be the size of small boulders (softball sized). Hail can cause shingles to dent or even leave craters in the shingles. Combined with high winds, shingles can be ripped off a home. You may have seen shingles around your property after a heavy hail or wind storm. This type of damage cannot go unchecked. Missing shingles can lead to water seeping into your roof or even your home. Do your property a favor, fix small issues before they become larger issues.
Even without these obvious signs, you may have damage and not know it!
Most wind and hail damages cannot be seen from ground level and goes undetected to the untrained eye. If your roof isn't leaking right now, it may leak soon and you don't want to take that risk.

The ProcessTo many homeowners, the insurance claim process can be intimidating and overwhelming. In the event of significant damage to the roofing structure, however, insurance is a welcome service. The first step is to contact your insurance company and schedule an appointment for an adjuster to come out and assess any damages. While this is in many ways similar to the assessment we perform, the insurance company will want to assess it themselves our assessment simply lets the homeowner know whether or not a claim should be filed. After the adjusters assessment, within a few days the insurance company should send the homeowner a summary of damages as well as the first check. This check is generally about half of the amount needed to cover the repair or replacement of the damaged roof. Enterprise Contracting, Inc can view this paperwork and discuss with the homeowner the accuracy of the summary and payment estimates.
Each insurance company may handle this process differently therefore it is difficult to provide definite answers to certain questions ahead of time. Enterprise Contracting, Inc will assist you in any way we can throughout the claims process, though your particular insurance company may determine the level of involvement that we can have in the process. Our goal is to minimize the best we can any overwhelming aspects of the paperwork and the process itself. Since we have experience with hundreds of claims, we can provide reliable professional advice wherever needed.
